Terms of Use

Hangisi is a social network built on polls. Users post polls made of a question and 2–4 options (“posts”); other users vote, like, comment and share.

Poll results (percentage and vote count per option, total number of voters) are public. Who voted for which option is never shown to other users or to the poll's author (see section 5).

• You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. We ask for your date of birth at sign-up; people under 13 cannot create an account.
• You sign up with Apple, Google or email. You are responsible for keeping your account secure and for activity under it.
• Usernames are unique; usernames that impersonate others, mislead or infringe rights may be changed or removed.
• All accounts are public: your profile, posts, comments, followers and following lists are visible to other users.

You are responsible for the questions, options, photos and comments you post. You keep ownership of your content, but you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable licence to display and reproduce it in the Service, turn it into share cards (e.g. Instagram story cards) and web previews, and use it to promote the Service. When you delete content this licence ends, subject to reasonable technical delays and legal retention obligations.

Posts cannot be edited after publishing; they can only be deleted. A post's author can turn comments off; comments can be deleted by their author and by the post's author.

The following are not allowed:

• Spam, bulk or automated content, misleading links
• Harassment, bullying, threats; sharing other people's personal information without permission
• Hate speech; demeaning people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability or similar traits
• Sexually explicit or violent imagery
• Misleading content, fake accounts, impersonation
• Content that infringes intellectual property rights
• Artificially inflating votes or engagement, voting with multiple accounts, or trying to bypass the Service's security or anonymity protections
• Any other content or conduct that violates the laws of the Republic of Türkiye

You can cast one vote per poll; you can change or withdraw it. To prevent duplicate votes, your vote is stored on our servers linked to your account, however:

• No user, including the poll's author, is ever shown who voted for which option.
• Votes collected in anonymous (default) mode are never made visible later, including for paid members.
• In detailed statistics (age range, gender, city), any slice with fewer than 5 votes is hidden.
• Hangisi+ members can create “Open polls”. Before you vote on an open poll, the card shows a “Open poll — your vote is visible to the poll's author” label, and your vote on that poll is visible to its author. A poll's mode can never be changed after it is created.

To keep the Service safe we review content with automated filters (profanity list, link-spam detection, automated scanning of uploaded photos) and user reports. You can report posts, comments and users, and block users. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours.

Content that breaks the rules may be removed; accounts may receive a warning, reduced visibility, or a temporary or permanent suspension. Content reported by a certain number of different users may be hidden automatically until reviewed. New accounts have post and comment limits during their first 24 hours.

• Hangisi+ is a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription billed through your App Store or Google Play account. It renews unless cancelled in the store settings at least 24 hours before the end of the period.
• Boost is a one-time purchase that features your poll in Explore for 24 hours. It is non-refundable once used.
• Refunds are subject to the refund policies of the respective store (Apple / Google).
• Which features are paid may change over time; features you paid for remain available for the period you purchased.

You can delete your account at any time from the Settings screen in the app. Deletion removes your profile, posts and comments; the link between your votes and your account is removed and the votes remain only as anonymous counts and statistics. You need to cancel any active subscription separately in the store.

We may suspend or close your account for serious or repeated violations.

The Service is provided “as is”. Poll results reflect user votes and are not scientific, representative or professional advice. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for user content, decisions made based on it, or interruptions of the Service.

We may update these terms. We announce material changes in the app; continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
